re-(t)exHile / Collective Action @ Oslo City Hall
On March 7, 2025, re-(t)exHile transformed Oslo City Hall into a temporary space of solidarity, collective action, and reflection on the global textile waste crisis. Through performance, participation, and a large-scale textile installation created from reused garments, the project brought together voices, stories, and materials from multiple geographies connected through systems of production, consumption, and disposal.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us and contributed to making this one-day intervention possible. Special thanks to the performers: Kwame Aidoo, Mattias Helberg, AK Dolven, Paulina Stroynowska, Yildiz Yalcin, and Oscar de Carmen.
The textile installation was collectively developed with participants and collaborators from: Sydilla Bjørvika, Sydilla Romsås, Atelier Sygruppe Ensjø, MIN, Nabolagshuset Trosterud, Sy om og sy med / St. Hanshaugen Frivilligsentral, United Sisters / Forandringshuset Grønland, Hersleb videregående skole, Einar Granum Kunstfagskole, RELOVE, Oslo National Academy of the Arts (Art and Craft), and Ullern kultursenter.
A special thank you also to Bo Krister Wallström, Truls Ramberg (KORO), Frida Rusnak, and the many friends, volunteers, and supporters who contributed their time, energy, and expertise throughout the process.
