Tomorrow Tuesday April 4th together with Colectivo Off The Record and Colectiva Habitaria we will be bringing to action an urban kitchen.

The date will be at Gachi Prieto Gallery, Buenos Aires at 9:30pm for cooking, chatting, eating and ranch.

This is about conducting practical rehearsals as an extension of the workshops we did previously under the questions: Why and How to Design Urban Kitchens? We are interested in highlighting the political character of cooking and how it could be a potentially transformative household element that subverses some power structures. We question the idea of "cooking", always as fixed and immovable, suggesting other alternatives outside the private sphere, as a dynamic, collective and community element. The idea of "getting the kitchens out" is a provocation or a performance action that invites us to rethink this space, resignate it, open up new possibilities and endow it with a political character. We move the kitchen beyond the preset limits of housing, expanding the sphere of domestic and generating community gatherings in different parts of the city.

This time the invitation will also be to chat and debate about a recent urban transformation: the viaduct that elevated the train on a 5km route. How does it erupt and what does it generate in the urban landscape?
